Yes! The TAE40110 – TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training Upgrade Workshop is now available!

Harrison Training Group in conjunction with (Malyon Vocational Training) is very excited to announce its upcoming release of our newest program. The TAE40110 – TAE40122 Workshop Program. This course is designed for those who missed the TAE40110 to TAE40116 Upgrade Window and can now only study towards the attainment of the TAE40122 qualification. This is a very unique program in that if you missed the Upgrade window from 10-16, you do not have to start the TAE40122 from scratch! The course content itself is focused on the gaps between the previous TAE40110 + TAE40116, which form a part of the new TAE40122 qualification.

So why should I upgrade to the TAE40122 if I hold the TAE40110?questionHere are 6 Reasons why you should considering upgrading to the New TAE40122.

No 1 – Best Practice in VET is to always stay one step ahead of the changes, The TAE40110 is an outdated and superseded qualification.
No 2 – To do the TAE40122 as a “stand alone” program will take a lot longer than any other previous TAE Qualification. (There are more units to complete and more in depth assessment criteria)
No 3 – Companies advertising for New Trainers and Assessors generally insist on you holding the latest version of the qualification which is the TAE40122.
No 4 – It shows your commitment to maintaining currency in VET as a quality Trainer and Assessor.
No 5 – Because Harrison Training Group offer one of the only FULL face to face Upgrade Programs from the TAE40110 to the TAE40122. (Precluding some Pre-Course Leaning for those missing the ASS502 unit)
No 7- IMPORTANT NOTE: Although the VET Standards do not mandate that TAE40116 Holders need to Upgrade to the latest TAE40122 qualification there are Conditions for anyone who is a holder of an outdated/superseded TAE qualification.According to the Credential Policy found in the 2025 VET Standards anyone who is a holder of the TAE40116 must still be able to prove that they have;
a) Kept their Knowledge and Skills current based on the TAE40122.
b) Prove they have undertaken Professional Development in the TAE competencies.
c) If not a holder of the TAE40122 to attain other relevant industry competencies.
This in essence may be harder to do for some people than simply completing the TAE Upgrade to the latest Version.

This program can be completed by those who are holders of:

a) The TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment

b) It is beneficial but not mandatory for you to have completed the following Units of competency along with or in conjunction with your TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.

  • either TAELLN411 Address adult language, literacy and numeracy skills, or its successor, or TAELLN401A Address adult language, literacy and numeracy skills, and
  • either TAEASS502 Design and Develop Assessment Tools, or its successor, or TAEASS502A Design and Develop Assessment Tools, or TAEASS502B Design and Develop Assessment Tools, OR any other TAE Skill Set available at the time. (IMPORTANT: If you do not have any version of the above ASS502 Unit you will need to do a PreCourse Leaning Component towards the TAEASS512 Design and develop assessment tools before the Upgrade Program Commences.
